A^2 - SOULJA JOGI /
This project was inspired by the idea that we all have such diverse identities, a million different groups that we belong to which inevitably make us who we are. Oftentimes, this can bring extreme internal conflict as we try to reconcile these seemingly contradictory cultures. The contrast in clothing and jewelry, the dichotomy of both english and Indian music, and the colorful chaos of the location are each an attempt at showcasing the empowerment that can be found in embracing each part of this identity. Ultimately, the ability to blend all parts of our intersectional identities is what allows us to find our confidence and display all parts of ourselves with the utmost pride and love.
Thanks god for friends that are willing to work with you to turn a shoot into a creative masterpiece. Like I always say, my job is effortless when the people in front of the camera are so naturally beautiful and talented. A huge shoutout to Anne and Amy [@a.squaredpro on instagram], and Unnati for not only being kick ass dancers, but for being an absolute pleasure to work with!
